SET is a really fun card game which is more than just luck. You need to use pattern-finding skills and speed to make sure you find the most sets.
Think of it as an intense memory game. You lay out your cards in three rows of three or more. You need to find a pattern in three cards. The factors for finding patterns are color, fill type, shape, and number. You need to make sure that all the factors have a pattern. Then when you find it, you should call out, “SET!”
After you call SET, you take the three cards and add three more cards. The tricky part of the game is you can call SET anytime after the cards are laid out. This shows the need for speed.
I enjoy this game because it shows a simple memory-like card game and it starts to make yourself think logically and outside of the box. Other TIPsters would like it because it is not only using strategic thinking, but it also uses speed which can cause changes such as not having all the cards for your SET.
