We’re proud to showcase the winning illustrations from Duke TIP’s 2018 Writing and Illustration Contest. Each of these illustrations is based on the first-place story, which you can read here.
Third Place — Graham Dixon
Graham Dixon is ten years old and enjoys drawing, painting, baseball, video games, fishing, camping, and playing with his dog, Charlie. At school, he loves going to art, GT class, playing steel drums, and helping others in Partner PE. He also stays busy participating in family and church activities.
Second Place — Elisabeth Larson
Elisabeth Larson is a fourth grader in the German Immersion program at Orange Hunt Elementary in Springfield, Virginia. She has a twin sister and two little brothers. She likes to draw and is learning to play guitar. Elle enjoys chocolate chip frappuccinos from Starbucks and making different types of slime.
First Place — Alexandria Browning
Alexandria “Lexie” Browning lives in Wilmington, North Carolina, with her mom and twin sister Ashton. She attends Codington Elementary School and enjoys participating in the Running Club and Battle of the Books. Her biggest passions are art and reading. She loves playing outside with her friends and caring for her animals!
