Third Place — Winnie Leydon
Winnie Leydon is in the sixth grade and attends George Bannerman Dealey Montessori in Dallas, Texas. She is active in Model UN, Girl Scouts, and orchestra. Winnie has been studying Chinese and is a participant on a gymnastics team. In Winnie’s spare time she likes to go to movies with her friends, read (Harry Potter series), make art, and play with the family dogs at home (Roo, MooGoo, and Chloe).
Second Place — Swara Repala
Swara Repala lives in Charlotte, North Carolina, with her parents and younger brother. She attends Jay M Robinson Middle School. She enjoys reading, math, playing clarinet and piano, and biking, and is passionate about arts and crafts.
First Place — Mohammad Hasan
Mohammad Niyaz Hasan goes to Glasgow Middle School in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. He is from Bangladesh and lives with his parents and his little sister. Some of Niyaz’s favorite things to do in his free time are making figures out of clay, making things out of paper, drawing, and playing basketball.
