It’s almost here. The Fourth of July has come and gone. TIP’s summer programs are winding down. The end of summer is nigh.
It happens every year, and yet every year students across the country are faced with the same dilemma: how in the world do you get ready to go back to school again?
That’s where you come in!
For academically talented students especially, going back to school can bring up a lot of emotions. Are you thrilled to be going back to the classroom? Anxious about moving up to tougher classes? Bummed that you have to wait another year to attend a TIP program or other summer camp?
We want to know how you handle all those emotions. Do you have any rituals that help you prepare to go back to school? Any things you have to make sure you do one last time before homework starts up again? Any tricks that make it easier to wake up in the mornings again?
Email your tips (or TIPs, if you prefer), tricks, habits, traditions, and more to navigator@tip.duke.edu. We’ll compile the responses into a list to be shared as part of next month’s issue.
