My leaf has been dancing in the wind
In front of blue background, again and again.
Crinking, crumbling, twisting, twirling
Changing from red, orange, yellow
While tasting the air.
I never imagined that I’d be the first to fall from a tree so big,
a tree so tall.
I drifted, I wafted, I waved in the air.
Excited turned to nervous, and nervous fastly turned to SCARED.
As I descended: crinking, crumbling, twisting, twirling, I glanced back at my tree to see other
leaves following me.
And they were dancing in the wind.
The light had changed, the tree bare, for it was twinkling here and there.
The grass was different, splotches of red were piling.
And here I am
Changing from red,
orange,
yellow……..
