In our feature article this month, we used three different digital humanities tools—embedded audio clips, an interactive map, and a timeline—to demonstrate the different things new technology makes possible.
We want to see what you can make with the same tools.
All of them are available for free from Northwestern University’s Knight Lab. Some require additional free or common tools—like Google Docs or a way to record audio—but there are instructions for all of them at the Knight Lab website.
At their core, these tools are about story telling. They are designed to help you tell better stories. So what story do you want to tell? Which tool is the best fit for that story? There are no right answers here—just a chance for you to be creative!
Submit your creation through our Hands On submission form, and we’ll publish some next month!
