The scientific method is very useful. The last time I used the scientific method, it helped me structure my experiment very well. The name of my experiment was Skittles Lab. In this experiment I wanted to see which skittle color would dissolve the fastest in three different temperatures of water: warm, cold and hot water.
First, I came up with my hypothesis. My hypothesis was that the skittle would dissolve faster in the hot water. Then I conducted my experiment. I recorded the temperature of the waters. Then I dropped the skittles in and recorded how much time it took each skittle’s color to dissolve. I did that three more times so I could compare results. After I finished I made a bar graph to compare how long it took each time. Finally I wrote a five-sentence conclusion to finish my lab.
The scientific method really helped my lab go very smoothly.
