Chocolate Fix

ThinkFun, $19.99

Ages 8+

This review was submitted by David Wang, a fifth grader from Georgia.

I learned about Chocolate Fix when I was in gifted class. Ever since I tried it, I would play it whenever I got the chance. If you buy this game from amazon.com, it costs $19.99.

Chocolate Fix is a fun challenging logic game similar to Sudoku. People of any age can play it. You use the clues given to place nine chocolates in a 3×3 tray. There are three colors—pink, white, and brown. There are also three shapes—squares, triangles, and circles. Each piece has a shape and a color. For example, there are three pink pieces each with a unique shape. The same goes for brown and white. There are forty challenges included, but you can make your own to challenge friends and family. The first few levels are simple, but they get much harder as you go up.

I like this game because it is very challenging and makes me think a lot. This game requires a lot of logic, so you feel satisfied when you finish one and you don’t feel so bad when you can’t.

I think other TIPsters would like it because it is a good game to play with a group of people. You can work together to figure a challenge out, or see who can finish one the fastest. This game is also great to play on the car.

Have you played a good board game or video game, read a good book, or seen a good movie? Submit a review to Navigator by the time the next issue comes out, and you’ll be entered to win a copy of Football Manager 2019. Find details on the submission page.
