Set is one of the most fun card games I’ve played. It’s challenging, engaging, and not hard to take places. The rules are easy to learn, but the game is hard to become good at.
In the game, twelve cards are placed on a surface. You must find a set in the cards before the other players do. A set is when the picture is all the same or all different. There are three cards in one set. When you find a set, you must call “SET!”
If the set is correct, then you keep the cards. If they are not correct, then the person who called set must pay three cards as a penalty. If there are no sets in the cards, then the dealer adds a new card. The game continues until all the cards in the deck are gone. The player with the most cards wins the game. I think most TIPsters would also like this game because it requires processing lots of information in different ways, trying to find relationships in the cards. After playing this game for almost five whole years, I can now find difficult and complex patterns and relationships in almost anything. All in all, I think Set is great game and is very useful in unique ways.
