The First Week of School

Shaivi Moparthi is a sixth grader in Texas.

It’s the first week of school.
I’d rather stick with summer, sitting in a pool.
I am hoping this new middle school will be very cool.

I am a little sad about the way school started, because of the virus.
We have to join classes online, and I’m hoping this screen time will not damage my iris.
Don’t get me wrong, I am not biased.

I’m happy that at least I’m safe, with my family at home.
And, that I can still go to school, because of google chrome.

I am positive, we will all get through this together.
And one day the virus will be gone forever.

The pandemic will become a thing of the past.
The world will celebrate, and have a blast!
